Designer, Visualization

Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Designer, Visualization to join our fast-growing Chicago team to create world-class visualizations of products for market-ready imagery, animation or video.  The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge in the visualization of products through programs like Maya/Max, Blender, Keyshot, V-Ray/Corona, with a working understanding / love for the entire visualization rendering process.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Advanced knowledge in post-production / re-touching (what your craft is)
-        Materials:          Build and apply physically-accurate colors, materials and finishes

-        Lighting:            Apply advanced lighting techniques

-        Composition:    Create scenes and define camera settings creative direction

Lead tasks (how you apply your craft internally)
-        Tasks:               Lead tasks assigned by Client Service or Producer of engagements

-        Rendering:       Understand optimized render processing

-        Workflow:          Suggest process enhancements to improve quality or optimize workflow

Support presentations (how you apply your craft externally)
-        Assets:              Provide visual assets for presentations and/or release to clients

-        Co-present:      Present visualization portion of presentations to clients when appropriate

-        Service:             Support Producer in building client relationship

Software Experience:

-        Keyshot/Corona/V-Ray experience ideal (other rendering or game engine software a plus)

-        Blender/Maya/Max experience ideal (other modeling or game engine software a plus)

-        Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) experience ideal

-        Physical-based material design a plus
